Hi, I’m Jimmy. I just started working at my new job. I was hired to be the Marketing Director for LDSyellowpages.com. I’ve never done any marketing, but somehow I got the job! I don’t have any doubts about being able to do well here as long as everyone helps me out! Even my Mom believes I can do a great job and she must know because she is the Human Resources Manager here. I even got a new shirt on my first day of the job. I love it, I take an oath to wear it everyday of my life!

Sorry for the long hiatus. I’m finally back from the mountainous, landlocked country of Kyrgyzstan. What a trip. I’ve been vigorously promoting www.LDSyellowpages.com while I was there and can safely say that the Kyrgyz people were very receptive. I, like the Kyrgyz am somewhat nomadic in nature and feel like I blended in well with their culture.
I was able to acquire during my travels there two items of special significance. The first item is a sheep skin yurt which I am now using as my home office.

The second item which is still in customs is a Yak. People often do not understand the usefullness of Yaks which is largely to blame for their low popularity ratings in the United States. Yaks are more than just beasts of burden, they are fierce competitors! Yak skiing and Yak polo are quite popular in Kyrgyzstan.

I did meet a nice girl at the local singles branch while I was there. She is the beauty next to my Yak. I will never forget our time together Sashenka! Our lands and our birthdates may be worlds apart but our hearts will always be one.
As you can tell my 9 weeks in Kyrgyzstan was time well spent and I thoroughly enjoyed being there. My boss didn’t see the relevance of this trip as it pertained to my job, but obviously he is a short minded individual. He did insist that next time I give at least two days notice before departing on another similar trip.
A friend and I were talking about church members the other day and we decided that it’s fairly easy to pick out members from non-members of the church. We put together a list of our ideas on how to spot mormons:
You might be a mormon if…
your name is on every piece of tupperware you own.
You might be a mormon if…
fetch, flip or scrud are the only swear words you know.
You might be a mormon if…
you eat your vegetables and jello in the same spoonfull.
You might be a mormon if…
your home decor consists of geese and or cow decorations.

You might be a mormon if…
your co-workers wonder why you go to church at a stake house.
You might be a mormon if…
you consider toys a normal part of your landscaping.
You might be a mormon if…
you ran out of biblical names before you stopped having children.
You might be a mormon if…
you ask that the punch and donuts will nourish and strengthen your body.

You might be a mormon if…
you think Ronald Reagan was a liberal and you felt our country was doomed on February 7th, 2008.

You might be a mormon if…
you think you have to be 18 years old to order coffee.
So be on the look out. If you should spot a fellow mormon, tell them about LDSyellowpages.com!
Congratulations to David Archuleta, second place on American Idol. He was obviously the better singer, but as we all know American Idol is somewhat of a popularity contest and he was barely nudged out.

In an effort to further promote LDSyellowpages.com I’ve formed a paintball team with my colleagues…we lost our first match pretty bad, it was like the other team had a sixth sense for our positions. At least our uniforms rock! Just check out the pictures!!

I’ve been settling into my new job. Things are going well and I’m learning the ropes. I do miss my old job sometimes. Life was simpler as the sanitation engineer. I do have great news. It looks as if the O’s will soon be changed to Y’s in Cheerios and the name will become Cheeriys. This is just one way I am trying to show the world LDSyellowpages is here to stay.

Tomorrow night is the showdown of the century on American Idol…David versus Goliath (David). Who will win?? I hope David Archuleta can pull it off. I have to get the name of his dry cleaner….look at the crease in those pants!

I have a new surprise for my boss. I took my sweet yellow ride in and had some LDSyellowpages.com graphics made for it. This is really gonna turn some heads!!

Well we’ve been making a myriad of website changes and additions to LDSyellowpages.com and things are really coming along well. We are also gearing up for some major advertising campaigns. I’ve been talking to the Cheerios company about changing the “O’s” into “Y’s". We are still in negotiations.
Sadly, Brooke was eliminated last night on American Idol.

I think “I’m a Believer” was to blame. It’s just not what America is used to seeing from her. It threw everybody for a loop. She did make it top 5 American Idol and that’s an incredible achievement, great job Brooke! It’s all up to David Archuleta now. Speaking of David….he’s got quite the prom date now!
